About Us
The Carmi Recreational Trails Society is a non-profit society that has a Partnership Agreement with Rec Sites and Trails BC to maintain the integrity of the Carmi Trail System and its surrounding area within the Intensive Recreation Zone. The Society is comprised of volunteers to conserve this outdoor gem for the enjoyment of all season recreation, without charge. The trails were developed and marked by Dr. Houston decades ago using old logging roads from the 1950's and 60's.
The Carmi Recreational Trails Society tenured area is from Steward Creek Forest Service Road to Ellis Creek Reservoir.
Whether you are a hiker, dog walker, skier, snowshoe enthusiast, mountain bike rider, horseback rider, ATV, 4x4er, motorcyclist, or snowmobiler, this charming recreation area is for all to enjoy.
The parking lot also serves as an important staging area in summer for fire protection crews and equipment.
There are toboggan runs south of the parking lot.
Located in the eastern slopes near Penticton, BC. A short drive from downtown and approximately 10km from the city limits.
